~ Welcome my lovely choir, to Tree Temple Music ~
The moon of the spear waxeth.
Truly living the dream, to sow my dreams of forests, both sleeping and waking, into reality through music... Has been equal parts sacrifice and reward.
Soon after I quit drinking alcohol, almost one full year ago... I began to have very vivid and significant dreams. Not only that, but I began to receive surfacing memories of dreams that I had had long ago.
I do not remember when I had this dream, but I do remember it clearly. Praise the Goddess and the Tree-Shepherd of the realm of dreams!

I lifted the bough of the mulberry tree that guarded the entrance to the Fifteen Deer Wood, as was my way. A sunny evening graced the path.
Fluffy white flowers bloomed on either side of me as I made that familiar trek. The creek trickled to the south, my left, while a river of dusty gold illuminated the forest hill rising to the north, my right. The grasses swelled verdant, caressing my ankles. The leaves fluttered subtly, providing their green rainbow to the world inside their dome.
Soon the path and the creek joined as one, and I was wading in crystal waters among plumes of deep green grasses. Flowing ever so slightly downhill, my steps were carried carelessly onward by the stream for some time, westward into a friendly dark.
The path was dirt again, as I came in view of a bend up ahead that I knew to lead up a steep, winding hill. About a hundred feet away from me still, the bend became bathed in a golden glow. A thick tree of medium height shuddered and stood up-root, opened its eyes, looked around, and began walking up the hill.
With a mixture of glee and fright, I strode after the ent. As I passed through the glow at the bend, my fear was dispelled, and somehow I knew I could come to no harm.
I hurried along the strange yet familiar path, catching only glimpses of the ent's wandering boughs. Hazy and a bit swirling, the woodland around me breathed, undulated, and sweated in the glorious evening sun that seemed as though it should have set by now...
That steep, winding hill had been crested. The path along the clifftop had been trod. However where usually the hill sunk back down southward toward the creek, the land became rocky and wide, and led upward, as though on the side of a mountain.
The trees became more sparse, and the sky was revealed. Overcast, the sun was obscured, and the glow of the realm was now blue-grey. The ground was covered in a light, dull green moss. Stones jutted out the earth of a shiny dark grey. Though I had lost the ent's trail, it seemed clear that it had led me to this new land, and my path ahead was determined.
I found myself gazing up at two massive stones, standing with but a small space between them. I breached the entryway, a stony path leading downward.
Soon I was standing on a rock outcropping above a canyon. The canyon was about five hundred feet long and one hundred feet wide. Giant standing stones lined the edges, and the rock was carved crudely on every side, steps leading down into the basin. Dry moss hung from the walls in this highland edifice, still in the mountain breeze.
Forgetting my body, my vision flew slowly over the canyon, among the wispy white clouds above it, taking in the scene. The mountainside rose up and up beyond the clouds and out of my sight. The bottom of the canyon was shrouded in a vague and obscuring shadow.
It was then that I awakened.
