Faerie Folk is a Portland-based folk music group. Created by pianist/composer Troll Hart, the ensemble's repertoire is based primarily in traditional Irish reels and jigs. The group also explores soundtrack excerpts from popular medieval fantasy media, along with original neo-classical and folk music compositions.
With the incredible Jotunn Aldas on the violin/fiddle, and the lovely Joy Joye on vocals, the music of Faerie Folk is played with majesty, refinement, and devotion to Mother Earth.
Sporting influence and expertise from decades of classical, jazz, and Celtic music backgrounds, Troll, Jotunn, and Joy are an inspirational group brought together by love of organic music, and are excited to share that love with you!

As you might imagine, Faerie Folk's music
is not released to all major predatory corporate streaming platforms.
We instead release our music independently here at Tree Temple Music and on Bandcamp.
We have released one full length album so far, our self-titled debut!

While we are based in Portland OR, Faerie Folk is on a mission to bring our love of Faerie music to the world! For now most of our live shows are here in Portland, however in the near future you can look for us abroad as well!
