So you're looking to sign up for private lessons.

Lessons that will cause a structural shift in your ability to approach your instrument both knowledgeably and creatively.

Lessons that will give you the ability to improvise and compose with passion, originality, and poise.

Lessons that will teach you music theory in an un-complicated manner, beneath stylistic assumptions.

Lessons given by an instructor who is fully knowledgeable of and well experienced in standard classical theory, but is unconcerned with upholding those standards.

That's me, Troll Hart 💚

I am a composer, pianist, and singer with 17 years of schooling, and 12 years of professional experience.

My training is just about equal parts classical, equal parts jazz.

But on my own time, I've been exploring deeper!

I am primarily a pianist and therefore piano teacher, however as a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and director, I have been helping all my fellow musicians get outside the box in a knowledgeable and meaningful way for my entire life.

If you can already play great classical pieces, but can't yet improvise, I'll show you how to use the skills you have developed playing Beethoven and Chopin to start making your own great music in fairly short order.

Composition and improvisation.

If you can already play your 2 5 1's in all twelve keys and can solo over jazz standards, but can't write a piece without basing it on V7 - I movement, I'll take you to the depths beyond Dominance, where we can write and improvise meaningfully without being beholden to anything that plays by the rules of The Great American Songbook.

If you are a total beginner, and seriously want to learn to play, but are overwhelmed by the enormity of music theory and everything you've been told about what you're supposed to be able to know and do, that's also fantastic.

That means we can start from the true beginning.

Play. Listening. Touch. Exploration. We'll make our own maps!

Here's how we can get started:

To schedule your first lesson, you must be signed up by the 12th of the month as a Private Lesson Student at my Chromatic Library & School of Music Magic.

Once you are signed up, I'll promptly send you a DM so we can schedule your first lesson!

Lessons are SCHEDULED each month during the 7th - 12th.

Lessons are HELD during the 15th - the end of the month. ~ Here's a helpful visual 🔑

I only have room for 5 more students at the moment.

Lessons are held by video call through Discord. Download Discord here if you don't have it already.

During your first lesson our time will be flexible, so that we can have a relaxed and pleasant time meeting each other, as well as get you your full money's worth of lesson time.

Those 8 slots are not going to be around for long, so if you already know you want to take lessons with me, don't shoot yourself in the foot by procrastinating getting started.
